Peep Inside Rue McClanahan’s Charming Apartment

The late Rue McClanahan was beloved by many for her spicy sense of humor and her New York apartment definitely reflects of the Golden Girls star’s accomplished life.

The apartment, which has recently been put on the market with the asking price of $2.25 million, has plenty of charm and surprises: the door to her home office was sculpted to look like a naked woman with a doorknob in the shape of a hand.

The three-bedroom garden apartment also had a hidden restroom in the kitchen and a secret passageway.

The home had a 1,600-square-foot private garden which was decorated with quirky architecture and flourishes.

If you have a couple millions lying around and want to live in Rue’s old place, the residence is listed with Steven Marcisch of Brown Harris Stevens in New York.

Rue, who passed away after suffering her second stroke two weeks ago, definitely had a unique sense of style. We wouldn’t have expected anything less from the TV legend.
