Why Selena Gomez Is Scandal-Free
When you're a teen (or even an adult) it is pretty easy to let your temper get the best of you when you feel like you've been dissed and celebrities aren't immune to wanting to lash out when they feel bullied or insulted.
The 17-year-old Disney cutie Selena Gomez tells MTV UK that although she sometimes feels like fighting back against criticisms and bullying, she has to watch her behavior because she wouldn't want to let down her fans:
I always ask myself, 'Ok, what would my fans think of me if I made this decision to lash out or say something rude?' I would never, ever want them to be disappointed in me, because they are the reason I'm here. So I'm honestly just thankful that they've made me think about my decisions more.
Because I'm a kid, I'm a teenager, so if something makes me mad, I wanna be like, 'That p***ed me off', or 'I don't like that.'
Hey, we can sympathize, Selena. And we do appreciate that she knows when to bite her tongue unlike some, uh, other angst-y, chain-smoking singer/actress teenage celebs out there.
Selena is currently in Europe promoting her music and filming her newest movie, Monte Carlo, with Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester.
