Breaking Dawn’s Birth Scene Will Probably Be Gore-Free
The good news: It looks like Breaking Dawn will definitely include a birth scene.
The bad news: It will probably turn out to be a lot tamer than a lot of Twi-hards would prefer.
Eclipse producer Wyck Godfrey recently sat down with FEARnet to discuss the upcoming final installment of the Twilight saga, which begins filming in November, and it appears that gore fanatics might be disappointed with how the book’s most infamous scene will play out on the big screen:
“I think the one thing that we’ve done that we’ve really done in all the films is keep them very subjective and keep them from Bella’s point of view. So the conversations we’ve had with [director] Bill [Condon], is that we’ll try to do something similar here; you’re with Bella’s perspective and her point of view of what’s taking place in the rush around her, as she’s in intense pain. Not so focused, objectively, on her body and his body and that. So I think it’ll be something like that, in terms of trying to make the audience experience and feel the confusion, almost, of what’s happening to her.”
So…no close-ups of a bloody-fanged Edward Cullen performing an oral C-section, then? Well, at least we know we won’t be gagging on our popcorn.

that’s NOT fair!!!! I WANNA SEE BLOOD!!! I WANNA SEE HER BONES BREAKING, HER EYES EXPLODING, DROWNING IN HER OWN BLOOD AND HER BODY WRITHING IN PAIN JUST LIKE IN THE BOOK!!! AND THE BIRTH SCENE IS FROM JACOB’S POINT OF VIEW

I can’t believe people still type like this.[/quote]
Hahahaha – I know. That made me laugh my friend :)
I am disappointed… that is a key part of Renesmee’s birth… each film although good is taken so much away or adding things that just would not have happened…. I hope they at least show Edward biting her at each point on her body changing her, along with the steel syringe to her heart….it won’t be too much for Twi-hards who have read the books and expect to see it on screen……Oh well.

I think its one of those damn LOLcats
Well, at least they will put part of the birth scene, it’s better than nothing. I would like see more that scene, because it’s the transformation of bella in vampire, but we need accept it.
yeah we don’t want to much in the movie..
bella and edward is the cuteis couple thougrh the whole movie but new moon he left her but there still together
I have a solution for everyone!!! How about a regular cut for theaters and a directors cut for all of us Twihard Gorefest Fans!!!!!! :) :)
We twli- hards want to see some blood but not a whole lot while Bella is giving birth. Is there some other way to show the birth sence with a little blood and Edward turning Bella into a vampire can you find a way to do that all we want for ya’ll is sick to the book as possible.
But just find a way for Edward turning Bella after she gives birth or just tone it down a little or do your best.
We want to see some blood but is there some other way for Eward turning Bella after she gives birth. All we twl-hards want is ya’ll to sick to the book as possible.
Also just find a way round the birth sence and for Eward to use his fangs without him performing a c- section and turning Bella just do your best to stay ture to the storyline and book.
i want to see the movie all together baby and wedding , together i cannot wait to see this movie , they need to make more movie together ,
STOP TRYING TO CHANGE THE STORY!! YOU ARE GOING TO RUIN IT!! WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE?! WHY CANT YOU JUST LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE?! OMG!!
Breaking Dawn is the best book in my perspective, just so much happens! and for them not to properly show the key part is ridiculous. We’ve waited all this time and read all the books/ seen all the films and their not going to show us what we’ve been waiting for? Its supposed to be gruesome, thats the whole point! If this isnt portrayed properly it will ruin the whole saga! I agree with someone who posted a comment earlier, it should have two showings, one cinema and one directors!! I know what one i’ll being seeing! :)
To the people who are complaining about Twilight – Why are you even on this forum if you hate is so much? Grow up! Different people different taste!
What’s with the nasty photoshop job? Is that a lego chesspiece?
