Could ‘Jersey Shore’ Cast Strike Be The End Of The Show?

/ July 19, 2010

It looks like the Jersey Shore cast may be regretting their “strike” this weekend.

TMZ reports that 495 Productions, the team behind the show, is striking back, reminding the cast that they are ultimately expendable. The guidos and guidettes are fighting mad  because they were under the impression their current contract would cover only the second season. MTV and 495 Productions now want to use those same contracts for the third season, which began filming last weekend.

It appears that 495 Productions won’t tolerate the cast’s attitude and see this as the last straw. While the production company wants to keep breakout stars The Situation, Snooki, and Pauly D, they are considering dumping the other cast members.

The striking cast, however, does have one powerful ally: MTV. The network reportedly believes that they have “magic in a bottle” with the current cast and doesn’t want to break them up.
