Lindsay Lohan's New Lawyer Quits

Lindsay Lohan's newest lawyer, Robert Shapiro, has reportedly quit the actress' legal team the day before Lindsay begins her 90-day jail sentence.

The 24-year-old actress is expected to surrender herself this morning at 8:30 a.m. but it is unclear who will be her legal representation. RadarOnline reports that Lindsay's former lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, will be by the star's side at her sentencing since she is still technically Lindsay's counsel.

Shawn quit Lindsay's legal team after the starlet was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days in inpatient rehab earlier this month. Lindsay was rumored to have been shopping around for a lawyer who would be willing to help her avoid jail time but she was never able to find a reputable lawyer who could help her.

Eventually, the Mean Girls actress hired Robert but now he has quit less than a week after he was named her new lawyer.

Sources in Lindsay's camp brushed off the news that Robert was quitting by saying that the celebrity lawyer was "just consulting" and that "Shawn never really left."

It is still unclear why Robert left Lindsay's legal team right when she needed him the most.
