Is Chris Isaak Replacing Simon Cowell On ‘American Idol’?

By: / July 21, 2010

Crooner Chris Isaak might be the new Simon Cowell on American Idol … at least, according to Chris Isaak.

The “Wicked Games” singer is reportedly throwing his hat in the ring, allegedly meeting with Idol producers twice to ponder the possibility.

Simon left American Idol earlier this year after the acid-tongued judge decided to focus his efforts on the upcoming American version of The X Factor. The new show is set to air in September 2011, so Simon fans will have to wait until then to catch a glimpse of everyone’s favorite sourpuss.

Chris has some fierce competition: There are rumors that Sean Combs, Quincy Jones, and even Bret Michaels are all gunning for a chance to take Simon’s seat at the judge’s table.

Do you think Chris has what it takes to replace Simon?
