Taylor Momsen's New Album Cover Is Playing With Fire
Taylor Momsen, who's been raising plenty of eyebrows lately with her provocative comments and even more provocative outfits, has released the cover art for Light Me Up, the upcoming CD by her band The Pretty Reckless.
The album's cover image? A young child playing with a lighter. Pretty reckless, indeed.
It's uncertain if this is a photo of Momsen as a young hellion-in-training, or when Smokey the Bear will be holding a press conference to denounce the picture.
Light Me Up, which contains the single "Make Me Wanna Die," is out August 30.

You know what? Music industry needs a little creativity. Nobody cares anymore about album covers (or music but that's another story). Like this one by Nirvana. now that i look at it, it's not that bad. it could be an example of surrealism (im not sure, just a guess). it's different and original. the kid's cute by the way. i like how she wasn't on the cover. that hasn't been done in a while, not that i'm aware of. i might even buy the album. her songs aren't that bad.
God-iits just a cover! One which i love since the Nirvana years-this article and the haters shows how bloody disney ruinned the rock,grunge culture! i like disney(not hannah Montana) i mean the animation is great-but the problem is the empacted its had the world only accepting to pop,dance and rave music. and im sick of it. its not as if millions of kids are going to pick up a lighter and say 'Hey-Light me up!' its just a cover-or with the nirvana cover-not like babys are going to jump in the water to chase after a dollor bill.:) The world really needs to get over this sh*t with disney. I wish the world was more rock culture where people actully PLAYED there insterments. Bring Back ROCK!

I actually really like this cover. I'm not sure how good her music is....but i do like the cover art. The album name is pretty catchy too. I don't find this provocative at all. I'm actually pretty surprised that the cover isn't just Taylor Momsen in a skimpy outfit.
It's just an album cover. Millions of toddlers are not going to start playing with lighters because of this picture.
