Lindsay Lohan Out of Jail, Heads to Rehab

Lindsay Lohan has been released from jail after serving just 13 days of a 90-day sentence, and the Mean Girls starlet went directly from jail to a rehabilitation center where she's expected to stay 90 days.

According to Los Angeles Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore,

"She was released at 1:35 a.m. ... She has been sent directly to her next destination, which is a treatment center. And she will now be under the supervision of the L.A. County probation department. This concludes her custody."

Lohan surrendered on July 20 after being sentenced for violating her probation stemming from a 2007 drunk driving case. Her 90 day sentence was cut short due to overcrowding and good behavior.

This past weekend, Lohan's post-jail rehab facility changed from Morningside Recovery Center to UCLA Medical Center because "there was concern that [Morningside Recovery] was not a secure enough facility," District Attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison remarked to PEOPLE.

On Sunday, TMZ reported that Lohan would be entering rehab in order to be treated for amphetamine addiction and bipolar disorder. Their initial report, claiming that she was going to be treated for meth addiction, turned out to be inaccurate, as Adderall -- the prescription amphetamine Lohan was addiction to -- is not the same as methamphetamine.

Should Lohan test positive for drugs or violate her probation at any point, Judge Marsha Revel can send her back to jail.

Do you think this is the end of Lindsay's substance problems? Will rehab scare her straight this time? Comment your thoughts!

Lohan's abbreviated stay was not unexpected, although it was considerably longer than the 84 minutes she spent at the same facility in 2007. The judge said during Lohan's surrender on July 20 that she had no control over how long the actress would be jailed, but did require her to serve her time a women's jail operated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. http://www.articlesbase.com/health-articles/acai-complete-6-review-does-acai-complete-six-really-work-2318176.html

she was sentenced for 90 DAYS! NOT 13... just because shes a celebrity doesnt mean she should be only in there a day shy of two weeks, no one would sentence a criminal for years and let him out becuase of overflow or something, they would send them to another? jail..she made a mistake and she needed to pay the price, sending her to jail..then to rehab.regardless of the whole, overflow of people in the cali. jail, she should go to a different one. . im sick of hearing about celebs getting off easy because of their status. Not only celebs get off early because of the overflow. Lindsay is not a criminal. And the short term served was due to a policy of early release of NON-VIOLENT OFFENDERS to reduce jail overcrowding. So it's not only celebs. it's everyone who are not danger to the society. Plus she's not free. She's in rehab and i don't think it's any easier for people like her. And trust me, if she wasn't a celebrity she wouldn't have got cought in the first place!
