Report: Mel Gibson Threw a TV at His Ex-Wife

By: / August 2, 2010

Mel Gibson‘s streak of alleged violent outbursts toward the women in his life reportedly extends beyond  his relationship with baby mama Oksana Grivorieva.

Russian newspaper Pravda (via Radar Online) quotes a family friend of the Russian-born Grigorieva who claims that Gibson once revealed that he threw a television set at his former wife, Robyn, during a fight between the two. According to the source:

“Mel was telling several times how he threw a TV into her (Robyn) once when they were arguing. Thank god he missed and the TV fell out a second story window.”

Robyn wasn’t the only member of the family to reportedly bear the brunt of the Mad Max actor’s temper; during an interview with law enforcement officials over her domestic violence claim against Gibson, Grigorieva claimed that she saw Gibson strike Tommy, his son with Robyn, during a hockey game at Los Angeles’ Staples Center nearly three years ago. According to a source close to the investigation:

“[Grigorieva] said that Mel, in her presence, hit Tommy, in the head, while they were in a box watching a hockey game…She said Tommy started crying and whimpered for the remainder of the game, choosing to sit by himself, away from his father.”

Tommy, Gibson’s youngest son, was born to Mel and Robyn in 1999.

Authorities are currently investigating Grigorieva’s claim that Gibson punched her while she held their infant daughter Lucia in her arms during a January 2010 altercation. In the past several weeks, numerous angry phone conversations between Gibson and Grigorieva have leaked to the media, painting the Passion of the Christ honcho as rage-filled and violence-prone.
