Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Swipes Emma Watson’s Burberry Gig
Emma Watson has become the latest victim in Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s apparent quest for world domination.
The Victoria’s Secret model, who recently replaced Megan Fox as the token eye candy in the Transformers movie series, has also edged Harry Potter star Watson out of her position as the official face of British fashion house Burberry.
The spokesmodel switcheroo comes despite a reported 24 percent rise in revenues for Burberry in the three months leading up to the end of June. (Watson began serving as spokesperson for the company last year.)
Huntington-Whiteley will make her official debut as the new face of Burberry in an ad campaign coinciding with Burberry’s fall and winter collections. According to a Burberry spokesperson, the company has not ruled out the possibility of using Watson in the future. If not, the actress certainly has other options open to her in the fashion world: Watson recently collaborated on a clothing line with fair-trade clothing brand People Tree.
