Let the ‘Eat Pray Love’ Soundtrack Take You Around the World
Looking to embark on a musical journey? Take the first step toward a round-the-world voyage by picking up the Eat Pray Love soundtrack.
An adaptation of the Elizabeth Gilbert memoir of the same title, Eat Pray Love (in theaters August 13) stars Julia Roberts as Gilbert, who embarks on a worldwide trip in search of fulfillment.
The meticulously curated soundtrack serves as the perfect musical accompaniment to Gilbert’s voyage of self-discovery, starting with Josh Rouse’s fragile, piano-driven “Flight Attendant” before winding through the exotic strains of Indian musician U. Srinivas’ “Kaliyugavaradana” to Brazilian singer Bebel Gilbertos “Samba de Bencao, to Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder’s hopeful “Better Days.”
The Eat Pray Love soundtrack is currently available via iTunes. It’s a lot cheaper than booking an extended overseas vacation, but it’s nearly as satisfying.
