Fantasia Rushed to Hospital for Overdose
American Idol winner Fantasia was reportedly rushed to the hospital due to an overdose.
Fantasia's rep has confirmed to TMZ that the singer was taken to a hospital in North Carolina on Monday night for a "medication overdose."
Local North Carolina news station WCNC is reporting that Barrino was taken to the hospital just before 9 p.m. on Monday, and that her condition is "not life-threatening."
Earlier Monday, the 26-year-old singer was accused of being involved in a sex tape scandal with a married man. The "I Believe" musician was named in court papers filed by Paula Cook, who claimed that the singer had been carrying on an affair with her husband since August of 2009.
According to Paula, Fantasia and Paula's husband had allegedly recorded their "illicit sexual activity."
