Taylor Lautner: Hotter Than Robert Pattinson?
Sorry Robert Pattinson fans, Hollywood Life reports that Taylor Lautner is the hotter of the two Twilight hunks according to the site’s experts.
A team of Hollywood pros (which includes agents, managers, and film directors) declare that the 18-year-old Taylor has a better chance of surviving in Hollywood once Twilight wraps.
Where does the 24-year-old Rob fall behind? He is reportedly “too broody” and stars in too many independent films. The expert crew thinks artistic fulfillment stands in the way of achieving Hollywood hunk status.
It’s true that RPattz prefers starring in dramas as opposed to action films: The British hunk just wrapped up filming on Water for Elephants this summer while Taylor is prepping for a starring role in the action-packed Stretch Armstrong movie.
An unnamed director says that Taylor’s “universal appeal” allows him to win these big-budget action roles:
Work-wise, Taylor has much more universal appeal than Rob. With his, strong, muscular frame, Taylor can go for a lot more roles that are needed in Hollywood, while Robert will be much more at home in the independent world. Taylor will definitely be more bankable when it comes to big-budget (and thus bigger earning) movies.
Another count against Rob? He reportedly doesn’t get naked enough to satisfy the masses:
Pattinson doesn’t take his shirt off enough. I think Taylor adds a few more layers to things that make him more marketable – he’s the next Tom Cruise!

Rob is way hotter. Like Deni mentioned, Taylor is only hotter to teenage girls, he much too young for the older ladies. Plus, Rob’s personality is just the best. He’s so funny and humble. Taylor is cute but he’s very predictable and boring.
i totally agree with melissa… as a matter of fact, i think rp is a brilliant actor- i recently rented remember me (apprehensive initially simply since i’ve only seen him in twilight films therefore i wasn’t sure whether it would change my feelings for him for upcoming twilight movies) & i must say, i am an even bigger fan! amazing!

Partial nudity, does not an actor make! Actors, with Taylor’s type of looks, are a dime a dozen. Rob may not be the best actor in the world, but he has an edgier look, and a very appeal personality. I guess only time will tell.

Thank heavens the world is finally making sense! Taylor is so much better looking and an overall better person! At least he doesn’t have a cigarette hanging from his mouth or hand every time he is photgraphed. He also prefers not to cuss and doesn’t drink!!! That makes him a better person!! I agree with you. I get so annoyed to see him on my magazines in the mail. PR do need to tone it done and leave him alone for a while.

I think they’re both equally hot in their own way, but Taylor is definitley much more bankable. Rob is “broody” and there is a place for that in the film industry, but it doesn’t give him much room (and roles) to play with. Did you see Eclipse? Taylor went from happy, to sad, to angry, to humble, to hopeful all in one scene without breaking a sweat. This kid is good, and he deserves the recogntion. So stop HATING!

I looooooove Taylor Lautner! He is so underrated as an actor, but that will change once he stars solo in a couple of movies. He was the best thing about New Moon and Eclipse, and I’ve been a massive fan ever since! Trust me, Taylor is going to be the next big thing, he just has that star quality. He is sooo much hotter!!!
So just because Rob wants to be seen as a serious actor and not a heart throb some how means he won’t succeed? I’d say he has a better chance of lasting in the industry because he’s doing movies that are going to get him noticed for his talent and not his looks. Not to mention, that the past couple of movies he’s done already have Oscar buzz surrounding them. And last time I checked, independent movies are sometimes the most well respected movies in the industry.

Maybe Rob is hotter to the older crowd but there are many of younger women around who will grow up watching Taylor he will always have some kind of following due to his youth and immense appeal, Rob is hot but let’s face it without big box office hits he’ll prob fade from main stream memory. I don’t really think either is more talented then the other they both have faults and shining moments. But I do agree Taylor may have lasting appeal, but don’t worry about Rob he’ll do just fine remember he’s got literally billions to fall back on and so does Taylor. Taylor is 18 years old and to those in that age group he is a hottie and to others also…He is more polished he’s only been doing tv for ages. Rob is 24 and is an international star…yes he is doing independent films, yes he is going for some roles that have meat on them and yes he is a hottie….they both are to whom is attractied to them–there should not even dare to be a comparison one is a teenager and the other a young adult and they are both good coworkers so get off the bandwagon and let them be..

I agree Melissa, Rob is Gorgeous no matter what. Taylor only has his muscles and they talk about over exploiting someone. They have taken this muscle thing toooooo far. It annoying. Robert has real talent. Not just looks either. He is a true real genuine person and great actor. Plus, when he takes his shirt off he is real not all fake. He is the real deal you can’t get better than Robert Thomas Pattinson……

I can see why Hollywood insiders would peg Taylor as being a better fit in the blockbuster-making “mill.” But let us not forget that Leonardo DiCaprio — the erstwhile equivalent to Rob in the intense heartthrob department — eschewed the matinee idol status that would have so clearly been his, post-Titanic. Instead, he went the indie route, becoming Martin Scorcese’s muse, and did very well for himself, thank you very much. If Rob’s similarly smart about picking his scripts, directors and co-stars, there’s nothing stopping him from doing the same.

The producers behind Lautner’s films are already spouting this rubbish as they are worried his teen fans wont go see his new films. OMG I believe this article. I mean it is not Taylors fault that he is doing what his job required!!!!!! I have absolute NO biases. I like both of them but the proof is in the movies. since the movie franchise started Rob has only done two other movies and taylor has aired one and is filming four besides BD.
