Most of the attention right now might be focused on Taylor Swift's new single "Mine" and her upcoming album Speak Now (out on October 25), but the Fearless songbird's prolific studio work has yielded another musical nugget, in the form of "Permanent Marker." A live favorite, "Permanent Marker" finds Swift—or at least the narrator of the song—in full-on envy mode, seething over the lingering fondness that her current beau has for an ex. The lyrics read, in part:

"X is the shape I drew through your face
in permanent marker, oh
Just like the mark you knew you were making
Who do you think you are
To write on his heart
in permanent marker

Well I found that picture
Of you in that green dress
Sure had a good time
Cleanin' up that mess
He found thirty other pieces
But he'll never find them all
Tried to tape them back together
Now he knows to keep them off the wall"

Seems like a perfectly reasonable reaction.

I like it better than Mine. Mine sounds too much like her other songs.
