Britney Spears Goes Manga For ‘Pop’ Magazine

Watch out world: Britney Spears has gone manga!

The “Circus” singer (and Glee guest star) is featured on the newest issue of Pop magazine. Brit was styled into various manga-style characters by famed Japanese artist Takashi Murakami and photographed in a soft, almost photo booth-style lens.

Here’s what Britney had to say about the collaboration with Takashi:

I loved working with Takashi. I especially liked how he took high-end fashion and incorporated it with Japanese manga. We looked at a lot of characters and artwork before we shot, so I could get a feel for what he was looking for. I was in Japan on my past promo tour, and I loved it!

Later in the interview, Britney hints at a possible collaboration with another Japanese-loving American pop artist, Lady Gaga: “I’m a big fan of hers…anything’s possible!” It looks like there is no bad blood between Brit and Gaga over Gaga’s new rule as Queen of Twitter.
