Will 'Machete' Save Lindsay Lohan's Career?
While Lindsay Lohan may have her freedom, her career is currently in a bit of a slump. Luckily, Machete director Robert Rodriguez thinks that their newest film together will remind people why we all fell in love with Linds.
At the premiere of Machete on Wednesday night, Robert told MTV News:
She's awesome in the movie. That's what they'll see: the actress behind all that paparazzi nonsense that follows her and won't leave her alone. They'll get to see her and say, 'Oh, that's why we follow her around.'

The troubled starlet's co-star, Jessica Alba, also had some kind words about Lindsay's performance. "She's so good in this movie," Jessica gushed, "I can't wait for people to see [her in] it."
Lindsay was recently released from inpatient rehab at UCLA after serving only a fraction of her 90-day sentence. The 24-year-old actress was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days in inpatient rehab after she violated her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI conviction.
Lindsay is currently serving out the rest of her rehab sentence in a court-ordered outpatient facility. She cannot leave California and must submit to random drug testing as part of her release agreement.
The starlet was not present at the premiere of Machete. The film hits theaters on September 3.
