Stephen Moyer to play Doctor Doom in 'Fantastic Four' Reboot?
True Blood star Stephen Moyer might be sinking his teeth into the ever-more-popular super-hero movie genre.
Moyer, who plays Bill Compton on HBO's hit vampire series, is reportedly being eyed for the villainous Doctor Doom role in the upcoming reboot of the Fantastic Four movie series.
According to Fantastic Four lore, the character—alias Victor Von Doom—is a former schoolmate of Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) who severely disfigures himself during a flawed experiment to communicate with the dead. He then embarks to menace those who he feels are responsible for the accident, including Richards and his Fantastic Four cohorts.
The character was last played by Nip/Tuck actor Julian McMahon in 2007's 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
As for the role of Richards, 20th Century Fox is currently said to be considering either The Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers or Cadillac Records actor Adrien Brody, with a strong preference for Brody.
