Lindsay Lohan’s “first interview” has arrived. As suggested by Hollywood experts, Lohan opens up about her hard-partying ways and her much-talked-about legal drama in a Vanity Fair cover story, vowing to launch a comeback and promising she is a “completely different person now.”
“I want my career back,” the 24-year-old actress says. “I know that I’m a damn good actress. …It’s been my passion since I was a child, and I know that when I care about something, I put 100 percent and more into it.”
Wearing a Marilyn Monroe-like Old Hollywood dress, Lindsay strikes a pose – and says her peace – in an interview granted a week before submitting to 13 days in jail and another three weeks in rehab. Speaking of which, LiLo wants to be clear about her addictions:
“I’ve never abused prescription drugs,” she tells the magazine. “I never have—never in my life. I have no desire to. That’s not who I am.”
Still, Lindsay admits she acted out because she was “young and irresponsible” during the Hollywood version of her “college years.”
“I was 18, 19—with a ton of money and no one really here to tell me that I couldn’t do certain things … And I see where that’s gotten me now, and I don’t like it,” she said. “I would look up to those girls… the Britneys and whatever. And I would be like, I want to be like that.”
Of her notorious father, Michael Lohan, Lindsay says: “I think my biggest focus for myself is learning how to continue to get through the trauma that my father has caused in my life.”
In a lighter moment of her interview with Vanity Fair’s Nancy Jo Sales, Lohan’s hair extension falls out, prompting her to say: “I’m literally falling apart.” Guess what quote made the cover? Click through to check it out.
