Lady Gaga ‘Romances’ VMAs, Winning 8

With three wild outfit changes, mulltiple shout-outs to her “little monsters” and eight (!) Moonman wins, Lady Gaga ruled the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night in Los Angeles.

“It’s such a dream come true to be here tonight,” Gaga said in her Best Female Video acceptance speech for “Bad Romance.” “Tonight, little monsters, we’re the cool kids at the party.”

And Gaga just got cooler and cooler as the night went on. Though, tragically, she didn’t perform, she took the stage to accept two more Moonmen, including the VMA’s top prize, “Video of the Year,” for “Bad Romance” (presented by Cher!) It was then that the teary Lady delivered the one-liner of the evening: “I never thought I’d be asking Cher to hold my meat purse.”
