Angelina Jolie, Miley Cyrus Named Top Role Models
Are Miley Cyrus and Angelina Jolie the best celebrity role models?
According to an online poll at WENN, the two ladies are the leading female role models. Angelina won the top role model spot with 43 percent of the votes, while Miley came in third with 15 percent.
Actor George Clooney narrowly beat out Miley for the number two spot with 23 percent of the vote. U2 frontman Bono came in fourth with 14 percent of the vote and the Jonas Brothers rounded out the group with 5 percent of the vote.
Angelina nabbed the top spot for her work as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, which recently brought her to Pakistan where she brought attention to the millions of Pakistani people displaced by the recent floods.
Miley is also very active in charity work. The “Can’t Be Tamed” singer has been active with Youth Service America for years and she recently auctioned off her clothes on eBay to raise money for Get Ur Good On and Blessings in a Backpack, a charity that provides food for underprivileged schoolchildren in America. I agree with most of the previous comments: YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING!? My exact thoughts: A husband-stealer and a young pop-star wanting to be too sexy for her own good who is about a year or two away from a Britney Spears-style meltdown… REALLY great role models – whoever voted are most-likely not really great role models themselves. Just because you have give to charity, does not mean you live all other facets of life as a “good role model.” Money to charity does not make up for the rest of it!

Trusting celebrities to raise your kids is like trusting a used car salesman when they say a ’78 Pinto is as safe as a minivan. They may operate on a higher socioeconomic level, but celebrities are still just looking out for themselves like the rest of us. Charity work is admirable, but its also a means to an end by telling everyone about it to boost their image. Parents need to be the true role models and lead by example. These are just millionaires with P.R. reps.

Miley Cyrus- I’m not her hugest fan and I don’t think she’s a good singer but come on, this is a good thing that she’s done- she’s a good role model for THIS thing. And Angelina Jolie? She is definitely the best role model and just think how much she has done! She has donated so much and yes, the US does have problems with the homeless etc- every country does! But countries like the US and UK are still much better privileged than places like Pakistan and Africa. In this sense, they are both very good role models.

I doesn’t matter how much good someone has done if you are teaching girls to steal husbands (I am not assuming, she publicly admitted it) and dress like strippers. She and Brad helped build homes in New Orleans and help found a community center for the kids. Get your facts stragiht before you state things.
I think Angelina Jolie is a good role model in a sense. True, she did steal a married man, but she also spent 3 weeks in Bosnia to help war-struckken people living in proverty. Now Miley, I think she is a role model in certain ways. She tries to let her fans know that it’s okay to be who you are, even if no one likes it, which is actually an important message. Yes,She does charity work, but all celebrities do, they have to our people will think they are evil. Whatever the cae, people are getting helped and that’s great. But Selena Gomez went all the way to Ghana to help kids get clean water and Demi Lovato went to Peru to help after the earthquake. But they aren’t on here!! Selena is Unicef’s youngest ambassidor, she’s polite, humble and ask appropriately, but she’s not as famous, so of course she isn’t on here :/

She can do film something in the US and save the money that we spend for her and her camera crew to go and actually give to people. Her and Brad also fail to mention they are on a salary for their foundation….and as for Brad helping New Orleans…Do you know The Quarterback for New Orleans Saints Dree Bree donated 2 million for the schools and also gave additional monies to help rebuild New Orleans…..
