Cemetery Charges Fans at Michael Jackson’s Grave
If you want leave a gift for the late Michael Jackson, it’s going to cost you.
It’s been a little over a year since the King of Pop was laid to rest at the famous Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, California and now the cemetery is charging a $3 fee for fans to pay their respects.
TMZ reports Forest Lawn is implementing news rules about what kind of offerings fans can leave at Jackson’s grave. From now on, flowers are the only thing MJ will be receiving. Candles, posters, picture frames and pretty much everything else are a no-no.
Celebuzz spoke to an employee at Forest Lawn Cemetery about the charge. For every grave site visited, there is a $3 charge for purchasing and delivering the flowers on site. However, if you bring your own, it’s free. But that’s not the case for MJ. Anyone who visits his grave must pay the fee.
The three bucks won’t get you any special access. The cemetery staff will escort the flowers inside his mausoleum which is off limits to civilians.
