‘DWTS’ Highlights: Judges Slam Situation (VIDEO)

The Situation’s Dancing with the Stars debut proved to be something of an awkward, um, situation, as the judging panel blasted him for ’80s-inspired moves and gave his cha cha cha an embarrassing score of 15 out of 30. That number landed poor Sitch, who missed out on DWTS practice time due to Jersey Shore filming, in last place (tied with Margaret Cho and David Hasselhoff.)

But The Sitch may not be heading back to his GTL routine just yet. The feisty judges told the underdog that he has potential to become a ballroom beast.  “You’re just underrehearsed,” head judge Len Goodman said. “You’ve got the guns but not the ammunition.” Make no mistake, we are rooting for this man!

Check out highlights from The Situation’s cha cha cha here c/o AOL Television:

Bristol Palin didn’t fare too much better than The Sitch, earning an 18 points for her cha cha cha to “Mama Told Me Not to Come.” Despite reports that she wouldn’t don the show’s token barely-there costumes, Bristol busted out a sexy red fringed dress and inspired a joke from judge Bruno Tonioli, who said: This is virgin territory for you!”

Check out a bit of Bristol’s performance – and that of top-scorer Jennifer Grey – in ABC’s highlight reel from last night’s premiere:
