Lindsay Lohan 'Scared' of More Jail Time
Will Lindsay Lohan finally be scared straight?
A source close to the troubled actress tells People magazine that the 24-year-old Lohan—who'll be facing a 30-day jail sentence when she returns to court in Beverly Hills on Friday after failing a drug test—is finally starting to realize that her life choices could have negative consequences for her.
According to the source,
"She's scared she might have to go back to jail. This is a wake-up call for her in a way. In the past, she dismissed everything, never took it seriously and now she's like 'Oh [expletive], something bad could happen.' "
Should Judge Elden Fox decide to send Lohan back to the slammer—and the Los Angeles Probation Department is certainly pushing for it—this would be her third trip behind bars. In November 2007, she spent 84 minutes in jail after pleading guilty to cocaine use in DUI, and spent an additional 14 days in the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, this summer, after failing to comply with the terms of her probation.
As to whether this most recent potential jail stint will actually cause LiLo to straighten up and fly right, her inner circle has mixed feelings, the source notes:
"Her true friends are actually happy this is happening. They never knew what it would take for Lindsay to listen. This might be it. But still, the attitude of some of her friends is, 'Oh no, not again.' It never ends with her."
