Remember when celebrities looked natural and, well, real on the covers of magazines? Unfortunately, neither do we. Surely the magazine industry isn't trying to kill stars' self-esteem, but often the photos don't lie, as waists are whittled, busts blown up and skin allegedly lightened.
Inspired by Mariah Carey's digitally-slimmed figure on the cover of her new Christmas album, Celebuzz takes a look at the recent photoshop scandals that shocked Hollywood. This photoshopping has gone too far. Magazines are in enough trouble without losing all credibility. I am not buying another copy of Elle or Lucky or W until it stops.

they were more beautiful before the foto eds. airbrush the bodies...use the heavy makeup but ... what are the teen girls suppose to think? THEY don't know how NORMAL it is to look NORMAL...and real. totally agree. there are kids who are the size of alba in the REAL pic that think they're fat...OVERRATED.

actually, ms. moss is wearing a corseted dress, which pushes up the boobs and cinches the waist, and her foot is pointed so the shoe is just out of the frame. ms. jones just doesn't know what do with her leg and didn't think to point her toe so that it might look graceful, so it looks odd. as for her hand, mr. hamm's leg seems to be positioned in front of it.

Um yeah..I think she just took an out-take from her Christmas album photo shoot back in 94 and photoshopped her older head onto it. That could be the case too, however it is really easy to slim her down in photoshop. and give her all those pretty looks :) gotta admit I've done that many many times :) on non celebrities though :)

I agree with Anna!! that's just sick!! i'm certain she suffers from Diabetes and/or high blood pressure!! Also, In Elle's defense about the skin tone for the cover shoot: I'm a dark skin girl and sometimes I look lighter in pictures because of lighting or make up, so they might not have made her skin lighter!!
