Meet the Newest 'Glee' Cast Member, Darren Criss
Good news for Glee fans: Singer-songwriter Darren Criss just landed a role on the hit FOX show and he may become a love interest for Chris Colfer's Kurt.
Darren will reportedly play Blaine, a "cute and charismatic gay student" from a rival glee club. While Blaine will allegedly maintain a "strictly platonic friendship" with Kurt, there are hints that their friendship might blossom into something more.

However, Blaine will reportedly not be Kurt's highly-anticipated first boyfriend on the show. Creator Ryan Murphy caused speculation mania when he announced that Kurt would be getting a love interest in season two. For now, Blaine and Kurt are just pals.
Fans may recognize Darren from Eastwick. The musician-turned-actor also maintains a YouTube channel with Team StarKid, a theater company from the University of Michigan. Check out Darren's acting and singing chops in A Very Potter Musical.

I've been a fan of Darren Criss ever since Very Potter Muscial came out. It's wierd to think of him as being a gay character though, cause he definately ISN'T in AVPM. But best of luck to him- he's very talented!
