Lindsay Lohan Enters Rehab Again
Mere weeks after being released from rehab treatment at the UCLA Medical Center, Lindsay Lohan has been admitted to another rehab facility—and it sounds like she's going to be there for a while.
TMZ reports that the troubled actress—who has tested positive on at least one court-mandated drug test since being released from UCLA in late August—has checked into an unnamed in-house rehab facility in Southern California. According to an earlier report by TMZ, the facility is not the Promises center in Malibu, where Lohan spent 45 days in 2007.
Lohan is expected to remain at her current facility until her next probation-violation hearing on October 22. The actress was briefly held at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, last Friday, before being released on $300,000 bail.
Lindsay tweeted after reports of her failed tests, saying that "substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day."
TMZ reported both failed drug tests, including the details that in one Lindsay tested positive for cocaine, and that the other indicated use of amphetamines.
This latest legal woe for Lohan comes after a tumultuous summer for the Mean Girls starlet. She surrendered on July 20 after being sentenced for violating her probation stemming from a 2007 drunk driving case. Her 90 day sentence was cut short due to overcrowding and good behavior, and she served just 13 days in jail.
She then checked into UCLA Medical Center rehab facility for what was supposed to be 90 days, but was released after staying at the clinic for just 24 days.
