Shia LaBeouf’s Got Beef With Frankie Muniz

| October 1, 2010 - 12:25 pm

Shia LaBeouf is an A-list action hero who co-stars with acting legends like Michael Douglas and Harrison Ford and goes home to an adorable girlfriend (Carey Mulligan.) What or who could he possibly have to complain about? Ironically, the answer to that question is Frankie Muniz, with whom Shia competed as a budding child actor.

Shia gave us a glimpse into his beef with the former Malcolm in the Middle star in an interview on radio’s The Bert Show. After being informed that his last six films have opened at number one at the box office, Shia told Bert (via Oh No They Didn’t:) “You could have put Frankie Muniz into any the movies I’ve been in and those movies would have still been No. 1.”

He went on to deliver the real burn after Bert asked if he was “prepared for Frankie Muniz to come up to you at a party and say, ‘Bro, why am I one of your examples?’” The Wall Street 2 star shot back with this gem: “I don’t go to many parties and I don’t really hang out in Frank Muniz–type zones.”

Oh snap! Unafraid of Shia, Muniz fired back via Twitter, using the tried-and-true ‘Dear Somebody’ format.

Dear Shia Labeouf. It’s getting creepy the fact that you can’t stop talking about me. It’s been 12 years now. I don’t know you. Thanks.

Reps for Shia and Frankie have yet to return Celebuzz’s request for comment.

How will this feud be settled? Is a celebrity boxing match in our future — and who do you think would win? Sound off in the comments.
