New 'Twilight' Book Due Next Year

New 'Twilight' Book Due Next Year-photo

Twilight authoress Stephenie Meyer has another book about your favorite vampire saga on the way, and you'll be able to pick it up on April 12, 2011.

Sadly, while it's not a sequel to the tale of Edward Cullen, Bella Swan, et al, The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide (Little, Brown; $24.95) will serve as an ultra-comprehensive reference book filled with information that even the most dedicated Twi-Hard might not be familiar with, including “character profiles, outtakes, a conversation with Meyer, genealogical charts, maps, extensive cross-references, and much more,” according to the publishers.

Meyer says of the tome,

“I’m always amazed at how many in-depth questions my readers have about my characters and the world within the Twilight Saga. With The Official Illustrated Guide, I hoped we could incorporate as many details as possible, including character histories, like Alice’s back story.”

So...will you be picking up a copy? Let us know in the comments section. And make sure to hit up The Forks Report for updates on all things Twilight-related.

These characters have no personality-therefore character bios are useless. Meyers is just trying to cash in as much as possible since it already has been shown that she cannot write beyond poorly written fanfiction which plays on what some people are desperate to find. I wish people would wise up and pick up some real literature. wow that is just my opinion!! this book is complete useless and it is obvious the Mayer just wants to make more money!!

Okay, as much as i like the Twilight Saga...this book along with "The boring life of bree Tanner"...drawing out BD into TWO movies (If Return of the King can be one long movie, i don't see why BD can't) ...it's just milking too much of a good thing. If Stephenie Meyer as good of a writer as she claims (and don't get me wrong I **LOVED * the books) But she's hardly original. She should prove her merit, by branching out..

I'm sorry, I'm a little skeptical if this book will ever be published. I've been waiting for it for two years now. (Yes, it's been listed on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Borders since late 2009) I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

[quote=Mystery girl]Uhm, this book was supposed to come out in December of 2008. At the time I even pre-ordered it, yet it comes out three years later? Lame I totally agree with you! I first saw in in 2009 and it's only NOW coming out?? Wtf? Extreme lameness.

I will definetly be buying it. I just wish it were the story continuing. I just feel like there is so much that should keep going.

I will definitely be picking it up. I can't get enough Twilight. It's a little frightening having these school-girl feelings at nearly 30, but I'm embracing it.
