Juliette Lewis Hurt in Hit-and-Run
Juliette Lewis was hospitalized and later released following a hit-and-run car accident on Wednesday night.
The accident occurred in Burbank, California, as Lewis’ chauffeured Lincoln Town Car ushered the actress from an event for her latest movie, Conviction. Sgt. Tracy Sanchez tells Celebuzz that the accident occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m. at the intersection of Olive Ave. and Glenoaks Blvd. Lewis, who complained of pain at the accident scene, was transferred to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, treated and released. Her driver was uninjured.
The 37-year-old thesp/rocker’s rep, Carleen Donovan, tells People magazine,
“The sedan Juliette was traveling in was completely totaled. Ms. Lewis … is a bit banged up and sore but otherwise thankfully okay. She is now resting at home.”
According to Sanchez, a suspect vehicle was found a few blocks from the accident and impounded, yielding leads on the driver’s identity, though those leads have not yet been pursued.
