Parents' Group Slams Miley's 'Sexualized' Video
While plenty of fans love it to pieces, Miley Cyrus' racy new "Who Owns My Heart" video has sparked the disapproval of the Parents Television Council, the same group that frowned down upon the sexy scenes of TV's Gossip Girl.
After checking out the video that shows a blindfolded Miley, 17, wearing skimpy pj's in her bedroom and clubbing during the wee hours of the night, PTC president Tim Winter tells TMZ: "It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualized video like this one."
"It sends messages to her fan base that are diametrically opposed to everything she has done up to this point," he added. "Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fan base so rapidly."
When Celebuzz polled its readers about Miley's latest video, 54% answered that they did think it was too sexy for the much-loved singer. The remaining 45% thought Miley's "Who Owns My Heart" was perfectly cool.
Check out the video one more time and decide for yourself - do you agree with the PTC? Shout it out in the comments.
