New Taylor Swift Song: 'Back to December'
Gotta give Taylor Swift credit; she belts out a pretty good tune, even when she's eating crow.
The Fearless singer has released a new song "Back to December," from her upcoming album Speak Now. As Swift explained of the song earlier this week, it's a musical mea culpa to a former beau that she'd done wrong:
"The person I wrote this song about deserves this. This is about a person who was incredible to me, just perfect to me in a relationship, and I was really careless with him...This is a song full of words I would say to him."
The words in question? Well, the lyrics to "Back to December" read, in part,
"So this is me swallowing my pride,
Standing in front of you saying I'm sorry for that night,
And I go back to December all the time.
Turns out freedom ain't nothing but missing you,
Wishing that I realized what I had when you were mine.
I'd go back to December, turn around and make it all right. I go back to December all the time."
