Anne Hathaway Cried On-Set…Everyday

We all know the widespread range of roles for Anne Hathaway, from quirky teenager turned princess, to battling it out as a bride or an overwhelmed intern — but there is one role that she struggles to film. Hathaway’s latest film, Love and Other Drugs, co-starring Jake Gyllenhaal, brought tears to her eyes.

According to Aceshowbiz, in the recent issue of Vogue magazine, Hathaway opens up about the emotional strains she felt from filming a sex scene:

“I was a wreck from start to finish. I think I cried every single day. I had to lean so much more heavily on everyone around me than I’m used to. I’m used to pulling my own weight. But I totally fell apart.”

Hathaway was forced to step out of her comfort zone and be vulnerable in order to fully invest in the character she was portraying.
