Adam Lambert Confirms Acoustic Album
Are you ready to experience Adam Lambert as stripped down and raw as the day he was born?
The American Idol fave confirmed this week that he's currently preparing an unplugged album for release in the next couple of months. During an interview to promote his Glam Nation tour in Australia, the "For Your Entertainment" singer divulged,
"There is going to be an acoustic CD. I don't have an exact release date. Probably around Thanksgiving time -- November, December. We went around Europe in the earlier part of this year, and here [in Australia], and we did a lot of promo...And so I had Monty, my guitar player, and my drummer at the time - and we just did very stripped-back versions of the songs... and then we also recorded some of the actual stuff from the Glam Nation tour. So it's going to be a mix of both."
Should be interesting to hear how the Lambert catalog holds up to the unplugged treatment. We already know that he can get by just fine without the glam as far as his personal style is concerned...

I plan to buy more than one copy of new acoustical album. I think any song of the album stripped down and raw would sound incredible. Adam doesn't need any instruments to enhance his magical vocals. If I had to pick one song it would be Sleepwalker.
If he puts several of the covers of the acoustic of Wanna Whole Lotta Love on this cd plus anything else he has done, the more upbeat jazzy Mad World....Broken Open...Aftermath...It will be insanely good...The performances he did of WWLL at Foxwood, Costa Mesa, NY...all amazing....Fantasy Springs almost 7 minute long version...was just omg...no words...women and men were swooning in the audience...His vocals are fantastic...his performance is fantastic and he is gorgeous to boot...Have seen him twice...unbelievable concert...

hehe i love adam's songs the way they are now, he is a fantastic singer and as soon as i hear him im off in happy lala land. Looking forward to hearing them in acoustic version, especially sleep walker and if i had you... just adam and his voice...BRING IT ON, SO EXCITED!!!!!
I have heard ADAM sing acoustic versions of most of the songs on FYE at one time or another on various sites on the internet (special engagements .. VH1 stripped .. AoL Sessions, etc.) and they are all fabulous so anything ADAM sings is A-OK with me. The one song I am hoping ADAM will include on this CD is A Loaded Smile ...PURE JOY!!
I will most likely purchase this CD. I have already got his "For Your Entertainment" CD , a Rock God t-shirt, a calendar, and a disco ball. Managed to attend two concerts this summer. Adam is a very exciting performer and has very loyal fans. Be sure and vote for him as a write in on People's Choice Awards 2011. I am a 66 year old grandma and this guy rocks my boat!

Adam can sing accoustically anything and make it sound new and exciting. If you have listened to all the accoustic versions from his tour around the world they are all slightly different. He mixes it up everytime but has the musical knowledge and ability to make it sound perfect no matter what. My admiration for this singer just grows and grows. I would like to hear my favourite "sleepwalker". If Canada can release this as a single why can't the rest of the world. Every track on FYE could have been a single it is that good.
This is fantastic news! The man has a voice that is out of this world and to go accoustic is like pure heaven to my ears. Can't wait!!!
