Lady Gaga Inspires $100,000 Meat Costume (VIDEO)
Still looking for that perfect Halloween costume? One upscale steakhouse in New York is offering a head-to-toe Lady Gaga-esque meat ensemble for the not-so-low price of $100,000.
Inspired by the "Bad Romance" singer's beef-heavy VMA frock, the Old Homestead steakhouse in Manhattan's fashionable Meatpacking District has created its own luxe version with a variety of meat, including a drape-y vest made of porterhouse and expensive kobe beef boots.
According to the New York Daily News, the custom meat dress also comes with bone jewelry and a "designer goody bag" stuffed with filet mignon, chocolate sauce, kobe beef burgers... and Halloween-appropriate candy corn.
While Gaga's mostly flank steak dress cost a mere $100, the Old Homestead's owner says that his pricey version of the meat dress is totally worth it.
"Wear it for an hour, have fun with it ... Then you might have enough meat for six months for your freezer," Marc Sherry told the Daily News. "The $100,000 is not that expensive."
Meat-lover Sherry said his steak emporium was inspired to create a Halloween meat dress. However, the owner of Old Homestead had a few issued with Gaga's meat look.
"Well, we saw Lady Gaga on the VMA Awards, and it was very tacky," Sherry explained. "In fact, the designer Franc Fernandez, he put no thought into it. And I want it to be just not a cheap skirt steak. I wanted it to be something a cut above."
