New Details on Miley Cyrus’ ‘LOL’ Movie

Prepare to see some mother-daughter bonding between Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore on the big screen.

After filming all over the romantic city of Paris, The Hollywood Reporter says Miley’s romantic comedy LOL is officially a go, as the U.S. rights to release the film have been obtained by Lionsgate. To celebrate, the movie studio has kindly provided some detail about the plot, forecasting teen angst – and hilarity! – between Miley and Demi, who plays her mom Ann.

From Lionsgate’s statement:

“In a world connected by YouTube, iTunes and Facebook, Lola (Cyrus) and her friends navigate the peer pressures of high school romance and friendship while dodging their sometimes overbearing and confused parents. When Lola’s mom, Anne (Moore), “accidentally” reads her teenage daughter’s racy journal, she realizes just how wide their communication gap has grown. Through hilarious and heartfelt moments between mother and daughter, LOL is an authentic coming-of-age story that perfectly captures today’s zeitgeist.”

The mom-and-daughter drama could get quite juicy, considering the previous reports that Miley’s character Lola is a “teenage aphrodite” who loses her virginity, gets wasted and “shows her mom her Brazilian wax!” In yet another twist of mother-daughter fate, Miley’s real mom, Tish Cyrus, is listed as a producer.

Will you go see LOL when it comes out next year? Weigh in via the comments.
