Leo DiCaprio and Blake Lively’s Dinner: ‘Gatsby’ Date?
Reports are whipping around the web claiming that Leonardo DiCaprio and the newly-single Blake Lively were spotted dining out together in New York City this week. But before you get your Gossip Girl-worthy OMG face on, the meal was probably much more professional than romantic.
DiCaprio and Lively, 35 and 23 respectively, snagged a meal along with six others at the trendy restaurant The Lion this week. Among the other guests? Baz Luhrmann, who will be directing DiCaprio in the film version of The Great Gatsby very soon — the same movie for which Lively has reportedly been a top candidate for.
Lively has been named on several occasions as a go-to for the role of Daisy Buchanan, the love interest of Jay Gatsby (DiCaprio).
According to an Us Magazine source, Lively and DiCaprio “didn’t leave together.”
So, before you start speculating that Leo has replaced Penn Badgley as Blake’s main squeeze, just crack open the F. Scott Fitzgerald literary classic and read up instead. Then, watch part of the 1974 Gatsby and leave a comment below!
