Report: Robert Pattinson Turns Down Burberry Modeling Gig

By: / November 8, 2010

Sorry, Robert Pattinson fans; you won’t be seeing that handsome mug of his shilling for Burberry anytime soon.

According to reports, the Twilight hunk—who dabbled in modeling as a teen before his acting career took off—recently turned down a $1,600,000 offer to serve as spokes-stud for the British fashion company. According to a source, R-Pattz shot down the deal, which was offered by designer/Burberry honcho Christopher Bailey, because he feels that it would detract from his reputation as an actor:

“Christopher and the Burberry team were desperate to sign Robert as the main person in their new campaign. It would grace all their stores worldwide and be in all the best publications. They went to Robert but he immediately, politely, turned them down. As far as Robert sees things he’s an actor by trade and that’s his art. He doesn’t want to start becoming a brand or anything.”
