Taylor Swift Shows Off Her Lacy Side at BBC Teen Awards (PHOTOS)
Speak Now chanteuse Taylor Swift did her part to inspire the youth of England on Sunday night, performing at the BBC Radio 1’s Teen Awards 2010, which were held at London’s Hammersmith Apollo theatre.
Swift—who reportedly arrived in England via a private jet paid for by her current boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal—rocked out to new numbers “Speak Now” and “Mine,” as well as “Love Story” from her previous album Fearless, at the event, which honors not just celebrities but teenagers who’ve provided inspiration to others. The 20-year-old country-music sensation said of the show,
“I think that an event like this really encourages teens that they can change the world and they can make a difference,” she said. “It’s wonderful to see so many vibrant, passionate people here who just happen to be young.”
