Counting Down the Top ‘Glee’ Guest Stars

Gwyneth Paltrow is set to make her splashy Glee debut Tuesday night, but (as fans know) she is not the only celebrity to grace the harmonic halls of McKinley High School. Gwynnie is just another in the long line of what’s become one of the must-have gigs in TV: A guest spot belting out tunes on the hit show.

Celebuzz has put together a countdown of our favorite Glee Guest Stars/Cameos (So Far). Sure, it’s all subjective, but with a show this good, why can’t everyone just enjoy them all equally?

1. Kristin Chenoweth

Chenoweth stole the show as Mr. Schue’s plucky blonde high school crush with big problems and an ever bigger set of pipes.

2. Neil Patrick Harris

Harris nailed his role as Mr. Schue’s rival Bryan Ryan and showcased some serious vocal adrenaline of his own on “Dream On.”

3. Idina Menzel

Menzel’s turn as Shelby Corcoran, director of Vocal Adrenaline and Rachel’s birth mother, made for a Wicked-ly good story arc and duet with Lea Michele.

4. Britney Spears

The pop goddess may have only had 55 seconds of camera time, but her music inspired an incredible performance episode highlighted by Heather Morris’s dancing talents.

5. Darren Criss

Criss wowed audiences as Kurt’s counterpart and potential love interest this season and his version of Katy Perry’s hit “Teenage Dream” was even better than the original.

6. John Stamos

Stamos sizzles as the singing dentist Dr. Carl Howell, who stands in the way of Will and Emma’s troubled romance.

7. Molly Shannon

Shannon brought the funny as Brenda Castle, Will and Sue’s newest rival and McKinley’s spacey astronomy teacher and badminton coach.

8. Olivia Newton-John

Newton-John got “Physical” with Sue Sylvester throughout the halls of McKinley High on the “Bad Reputation“ episode.

9. Charice

As foreign exchange student Sunshine Corazon, international recording artist Charice went head to head with Mckinley’s top-ranking diva, Rachel, and was quickly recruited to be in Vocal Adrenaline. A vocal showdown is imminent later this season.

10. Eve

Eve dazzled as the outspoken Grace Hitchens, the show choir director of the Jane Adams Academy for troubled female students and unlikely rival to Mr. Schuester in Season 1.
