Daniel Radcliffe Declares Harry Potter Dead (VIDEO)
Sorry, Potter-heads; Daniel Radcliffe has some bad news for you.
Quashing hopes that Harry Potter authoress J.K. Rowling might write another book in the wizardly series and, thus, leave room for the possibility of another Potter movie beyond Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Radcliffe tells MTV that he has Rowling's assurances that the Potter franchise has been put to bed.
Radcliffe revealed at Monday night's New York premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 that Rowling had texted him to let him know that the Potter series won't be extended:
"Basically, it amounted to the fact that she felt I had been very good in this 'Harry Potter' film, and as a reward for that, she wasn't going to [write] any more 'Harry Potter' [books]. I'm sure she will be writing other books," he continued. "But I can pretty much guarantee that Harry will not be a feature."
