Taylor Swift and Beyonce Face Off in Thanksgiving Showdown

Beyonce might have been exceedingly gracious to Taylor Swift following Swift’s 2009 VMAs run-in with Kanye West, but business is still business. Even during the holidays.

Fearless songbird Swift will be airing a primetime special, Taylor Swift: Speak Now, on Thanksgiving night. The hour-long special, which will feature Swift performing nine songs from her new album in various locations along with behind-the-scenes footage from the album’s recording and her publicity tour, will run on NBC from 8 to 9 p.m.

It’s sure to be an entertaining but of programming, but one that isn’t without a bit of competition: Beyonce will also be airing her own special, I Am … World Tour, her second annual Thanksgiving special. Interestingly, her special will also feature performances not just from Beyonce’s husband Jay-Z, but none other than West himself. Awk-waaard….

Luckily, fans of both artists are in luck; Beyonce’s special will begin at 9:30 p.m. on ABC, circumventing a total scheduling disaster.
