Nicki Minaj’s MTV Documentary ‘My Time’ Sneak Peaks (VIDEO)

Nicki Minaj may be known for her over-the-top style and take no prisoners lyrical prowess, but her upcoming MTV documentary showcases a side to the 25-year-old Jamaica, Queens rapper that few have ever seen.

This Sunday, MTV will air an up close and personal glimpse into the life of the fierce femcee, from her family in Trinidad to her creative process in the studio.

Minaj, who first registered on the music radar through mixtapes and later as Lil Wayne’s fiesty female counterpart, released her long-awaited debut album, Pink Friday, on Monday after racking up features on some of the most successful records this year alongside Usher, Jay Sean, Mariah Carey, Ludacris, Trey Songz and Christina Aguilera.

Pink Friday boasts guest appearances from Natasha Bedingfield, Eminem, Rihanna and Drake, but Minaj more than holds her own on the 13-track set.
