Hopefully Lady Gaga fans realize that patience is a virtue, because while the Pantless One's next album won't be out for a while, it sounds like it will be worth the wait.

The "Alejandro" revealed details about her upcoming album, Born This Way—which will be out early next year—during a performance in Poland on Friday, and made a rather modest promise to the audience: According to Gaga, Born This Way will be "the greatest album of the decade."

The singer proclaimed,

"I promise you, I'll never let you down. And not for nothing: The album's finished and it's f*cking really good. So whatever this is, whatever you just did for all of us ... I promise to give you the greatest album of this decade, just for you."

The "Poker Face" chanteuse also hinted that Born This Way might also be epic in length as well, suggesting that she might pack the collection with nearly two dozen songs:

"I'm still deciding, the album could be longer than you would imagine ... I'm not sure.  I can't decide, really, because I think that times are different, you know. It used to be kind of a faux pas to put out too much music on your album, but I feel like you guys deserve all of the records I do, 'cause I work hard on them. So who knows, you might get, like, 20 new Gaga songs."

Meanwhile, LadyGaga.net released a juicy little morsel about Born This Way's first single. During a backstage chat with the site, Gaga characterized the album as being like “bad kids going to church, having fun on a high level" and revealed that the initial, as-yet-unnamed single from the album will be released in February 2011.

The singer also recorded a video shout-out to her fans tanking them for their support, which can be viewed below:

Do you think Born This Way will really be the best album of next decade, or merely in the Top 3? Share your predictions in the comments section.

Unrest in the middle east, a worldwide credit crunch, uncommon weather, poverty...and we're wondering who's wearing what to the Oscars!

She sure is churning out albums before her 15 minutes is up. I guess if you can rush a shoddy product like Monster and still make billions, why not strike again while the album is still up. I imagine it will be another convoluted album of filler with a couple of catchy but annoying singles.I used to like her until it became apparent how pretentious she was/is. I was hoping she would take some time between albums instead of continuing to shove her faux artistry in our faces. Give us a chance to cleanse our palates and yourself some time to create a solid album, Gaga. Gaga is here to stay so you better get used to it, and dont be jealous just because your not famous. Her work is f*cking brilliant and she works really hard to make her fans happy. We wouldn't have been able to wait another 5 years!

Stop with the 15 minute card! You did it with Cher, with Madonna, with Cyndi, with Britney and with Christina. GaGa is nearly in her third year in the spotlight and shows absolutely no signs of slowing down. Get a new phrase, because the 15 minute angle is not just old, but honestly does not apply.

no way will this be the album of the decade... amazing things sonically? bs... total bs... maybe it will blow the minds of people who narrowly pick from the billboard top 20, but c'mon... anyone ever hear of aphex twin? to say that her music is groundbreaking, with yes, cliche lyrics superimposed over dance music is just ignorant... not saying she's not good for some, but to make such a bold claim is stupid, and self-aggrandizing... but what could i honestly expect from someone who has to be the center of attention whereever they go?

I don't know about that first single "Born This Way" that bit she sang at the VMA's sounded pretty pedestrian. Just another trebling screeching pop ballad.

I don't know about the greatest of the decade, but it might be the greatest of the year. The buzz is that she's doing some pretty incredible stuff sonically. And if, by some chance, it happens to be really epic, then yeah, maybe it will be the greatest of the decade. Of course, that means that none of her future records could be as good as Born This Way.
