Johnny Depp Says Yes to ’21 Jump Street’ Cameo (VIDEO)
Looks like Johnny Depp might be moving back to 21 Jump Street. However briefly.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star, who rose to fame on the series 21 Jump Street in the late ’80s, tells MTV that he’s totally down to reprise his role as Hanson in the upcoming big-screen reboot of the series, which will star Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill.
Informed that Hill has been pressing hard to bring him on for a cameo, the 47-year-old actor noted,
“I’ve said I’m into it, but no one’s actually approached me…I’m in. I’m in. I think it’d be pretty easy.”
The original series, which ran on Fox from 1987 to 1991, chronicled a squad of youthful-looking cops who infiltrated high schools in order to solve crimes.
