Lady Gaga Says ‘Born This Way’ Will be ‘Epic’
Say what you will about Lady Gaga—she certainly doesn’t suffer from a lack of self-esteem.
The “Alejandro” singer—who’s recently been wowing England with a string of UK concert dates—dropped in on the BBC to discuss her upcoming new album Born This Way, and to hear it, you might as well chain yourself to the nearest heavy object now, because the new collection will blow you away.
According to Gaga, who calls Born This Way her “most innovative” work to date, the album will be “a marriage of electronic music with major, epic, dare I even say, metal or rock ‘n’ roll, pop, anthemic style melodies with really sledge-hammering dance beats.”
One thing Gaga can’t say about the album is when, exactly, it will be released; the most she can reveal is that a new single will be issued in February 2011, with the album coming shortly thereafter. But the album is in the can, save for some finishing touches:
“It’s finished and all, it’s just fine-tuning everything…It’s kind of like the post-operative stage of the album. I’ve already done the full heart surgery. I’m just sewing myself back up again.”
Considering Gaga’s ultra-expansive wardrobe, we’re going to assume that she’s a master seamstress.
