Lady Gaga ‘Shaken’ After Scary Stalker Encounter
Lady Gaga explored the dark side of life in the spotlight on her record The Fame Monster, but now the “Alejandro” has had a real-life encounter with the perils of notoriety.
OK! Magazine reports that Gaga had an all-too-close run-in with a stalker during her recent concert at London’s O2 Arena, when an obsessed mega-fan forced her way backstage and nearly made it all the way to the 24-year-old singer’s dressing room.
According to an insider, the fan—who’d already been identified as problematic by the singer’s team due to previous incidents—was found carrying forged backstage passes and laminates, which helped her slip through security. Luckily, the intruder was detained while heading straight for Gaga’s dressing room, and questioned by police after being released.
The insider adds that, though the songbird was unsettled by the situation, she went on to wow the crowd at O2:
“Gaga was understandably shaken by the incident but was a consummate professional and continued as per normal, putting on a dazzling show.”
One can only imagine that Gaga will be giving herself a bigger security team for Christmas.
