Demi Lovato Settles With Punch Victim Alex Welch

Demi Lovato will have one less thing to worry about while she spends her holidays in rehab, as TMZ reports the Disney starlet has reached a settlement with Alex Welch, the backup dancer she allegedly punched on the Camp Rock 2 tour.

“The parties are satisfied and the dispute has been resolved amicably and completely,” Welch’s attorney Donald Karpel tells TMZ, though he declined to specify the monetary sum of the settlement.

Welch claimed Lovato struck her on a private plane in October, causing bruising to her face (and triggering Demi’s entry to rehab.) A legal expert later told Celebuzz that Alex’s injuries were not substantial enough to warrant a lawsuit. When reached by Celebuzz earlier this month, Demi’s rep denied reports claiming that the Sonny With a Chance actress paid 21-year-old Welch a six-figure sum to drop legal action against her.

Here’s hoping the issue is resolved and Demi can move forward. How do you feel about the reported settlement? Sound off in the comments.
