Creator of ‘Jersey Shore’ Gears Up for New Show ‘The Nail Files’

Reality Stars Who Made It
The people leapt from the small screen to the big time.
Jersey Shore creator SallyAnn Salsano is at it again, but this time, she’s moving it from the Shore to Hollywood.

The Nail Files will follow Katie Corzla, the outspoken owner of chic nail salon (and celeb hot spot) The Painted Nail, as she deals with her budding business, her realtionship with legendary music producer, Walter Afanasieff, and everything in between. TV Guide Network will begin airing the reality show this summer.

Celebuzz went to the Television Critics Association panel for the show, and got a taste of what the show has to offer.

SallyAnn says Katie, “doesn’t apologize for who she is, and it’s kind of fun to watch,” and what sets Katie’s nail salon apart from the hundreds other out there is the “vibe.” Katie also mentioned, “It appeals to everyone, it’s not your typical Buddha and wind chimes salon,” and described the look of the salon as “shabby chic meets old Hollywood glam.”

The Painted Nail has thrown parties for celebs such as Hilary Duff and Teri Hatcher in addition to being featured on a recent episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Katie also recently launched her own nail polish line and is hoping to open another location on West Hollywood. “I would love to open a location in BoysTown and call it The Painted Male Nail. It’s my old stomping grounds.”

She also promises that her show won’t just be about, “bitchy ass drama,” but will focus more on how she has been able to take a tiny store and turn it into something much bigger.

If this show can be half as entertaining as the Jersey Shore, it’s bound to be a hit!
