Demi Lovato Thanks Fans for Their Support
Demi Lovato might be experiencing a rough patch these days, but that doesn’t mean that she isn’t thinking of the fans who’ve made her a success.
The 18-year-old Sonny With a Chance star, who’s been in an undisclosed rehab facility for “emotional and physical issues” since November, following a reported altercation with backup dancer Alex “Shorty” Welch on the Camp Rock 2 tour, took to her Facebok page over the weekend to thank her followers for their support. Lovato wrote,
“I wish to thank all the friends and fans who voted for me for the People’s Choice Awards and the Hot Hits Hottest Teen Stars of 2010. I want to make sure my fans know how thankful I am for all their love, support and prayers during this difficult time. Thank you for standing beside me through it all.”
Lovato snagged two honors at last week’s People Choice Awards, one for Favorite TV Guest Star for her appearance on Grey’s Anatomy, and for Favorite TV Movie, for Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.
Though it’s not yet known when Lovato will leave her treatment facility, there was a glimmer of happiness for the star over the holidays, when she was allowed out on Christmas to spend time with her family. Lovato also recently announced that she plans to carry through with plans for her 2011 solo tour, which will correspond with the release of her third album.
