Taylor Lautner: The $10 Million Man
Deadline Hollywood reports that the 18-year-old Twilight beefcake has entered the eight-figure salary range with his upcoming movie roles, with two separate studios ponying up at least $10 million for his talents in 2011.
According to Deadline, Fox 2000 will be forking over an eight-figure pile of cash for Lautner's starring turn in Incarceron, a big-screen adaptation of the Catherine Fisher novel about a young man trapped in a brutal, futuristic prison society. New Regency, meanwhile, will be laying a similarly princely sum on Lautner to star in an as-yet-untiled spy thriller that's being billed as "The Bourne Identity for the Next Generation."
And all of this is on top of the $7.5 million that Lautner is said to be raking in for the movie adaptation of the popular children's toy Stretch Armstrong.
The cumulative windfall puts Lautner in some pretty good company—according to Forbes' list of Hollywood's Highest Paid Actors, the Twilight star is now on the same tier as Leonardo DiCaprio, who earned $28 million in the period between June 2009 and 2010. Taylor still has a way to go before he catches up with Johnny Depp, who tops the list with $75 million for the same period, and Ben Stiller, who comes in second at $53 million, but hey—he's still barely old enough to vote.
